Dak Nong Department of Construction has just announced the prices of construction materials in the area in May 2025. In particular, many types of construction materials have been adjusted to increase in price, especially sand prices.
According to the decision just announced, the price of construction sand in all district and city centers of Dak Nong is around 1 million VND/ m3 . In which, in Gia Nghia City, it ranges from 1.02 to 1.1 million VND/ m3 .
The highest sand price is in Dak Glong district, from 1.15 to 1.23 million VND/ m3 . The sand price at the production site (Krong No district) is about 800,000 VND/ m3 .

The average price of construction sand in May 2025 in Dak Nong is more than 1 million VND/m³, twice as high as the price announced in April 2025. In addition, some other materials also recorded significant increases such as: commercial concrete increased by about 20%, construction stone increased by about 10%...
The Department of Construction said that the price list was published to help relevant agencies, organizations and individuals refer to and apply when preparing investment documents for construction projects.
Prices are determined based on a survey of the average local price level at the time of the survey, concentrated in the central areas of districts and cities.
Notably, the price list for May 2025 was issued about 2 weeks earlier than usual. The reason is that the prices of many materials, especially construction sand, began to increase sharply from mid-May. Currently, the price of sand in some areas has fluctuated from 1.1 to 1.2 million VND/m³.

In Dak Nong since the beginning of May 2025, construction sand has not only increased in price to a record high but is also very scarce. This has caused a comprehensive negative impact on the Dak Nong construction industry.
Especially at a time when the locality is speeding up public investment in key projects and promoting the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.
In early June 2025, the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Construction to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to assess the actual supply and demand situation. The goal is to prevent the discrepancy between mining output, actual selling price and current tax declaration data.

The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to review and advise on adjusting the licensed output of sand mines, ensuring that market demand is met while still complying with regulations on resource and environmental protection.
Authorities are required to strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations in the exploitation and trading of construction sand.
