Officers of Market Management Team No. 3 check product labels in Moc Chau ward.
With its large area, scattered population and bordering Laos, the Moc Chau - Van Ho area is an important transit route for goods from the Northwest to Hanoi and vice versa. This area has over 2,000 business households; production, business and service activities in the area have recently been bustling, with the strong development of tourism, high-tech agriculture and e-commerce. However, along with that, the situation of law violations in business has also tended to increase, with increasingly sophisticated tricks, affecting the rights of consumers, the investment environment and socio -economic security.
Many people take advantage of e-commerce to anonymously trade in counterfeit goods and goods of unknown origin by using fake accounts, creating multiple fanpages and personal pages. They sell goods via livestream and social networks but do not provide legal information, and use intermediary delivery services to avoid inspection and handling at the place of production and business.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Triu, Captain of Market Management Team No. 3, informed: We always identify this as a key area, requiring increased inspection and control. Every day, working groups take turns patrolling along Highway 6 and border trails to promptly detect and prevent violations.
From December 14, 2024 to August 15, 2025, through inspections of business establishments in the area, Market Management Team No. 3 discovered and handled 80 violations, imposed fines of more than VND 800 million, and confiscated hundreds of violating products. These figures demonstrate the determination and uncompromising nature of the Market Management force in the fight against commercial fraud.

Strengthening market inspection and supervision, strictly handling violations according to the direction of superiors, Market Management Team No. 3 has stepped up inspection and supervision in many areas, focusing on fertilizers, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, liquefied petroleum gas, medical equipment, commodity prices and e-commerce activities. Thereby, 1 violation in the field of agricultural materials was detected, with a fine of 3 million VND; 4 violations in the field of pharmaceuticals, functional foods, medicinal herbs, with a fine of 8 million VND; 4 cases related to price regulations, with a fine of 8 million VND. In the coming time, Market Management Team No. 3 will continue to strengthen coordination with functional agencies, tighten market inspection and supervision, resolutely handle all violations, contributing to ensuring consumer rights and stabilizing the market in the area.

Along with strengthening inspection and handling of violations, Market Management Team No. 3 also actively propagates and disseminates the law to business organizations and individuals, raising awareness of compliance with regulations in trade, production and services. Inspected, propagated and signed commitments with 50 business establishments. At the same time, regularly coordinated with press agencies to promptly reflect violations and warn consumers. Thanks to that, the awareness of law compliance of business establishments has had many positive changes. Many small traders who previously unintentionally sold goods of unknown origin have now proactively requested documents proving origin and committed to transparent business.
From now until the end of the year, Market Management Team No. 3 will continue to closely follow the instructions of superiors, publicize the hotline number to receive feedback on essential goods business locations. Violations such as not posting prices, selling at the wrong price, unreasonable price increases, etc. will be strictly inspected and handled. All Market Management officials will be on duty 100% of the time, including holidays, closely monitoring business activities to promptly handle arising situations, contributing to stabilizing prices and ensuring the supply of essential goods in the context of complicated epidemics; building local agricultural product brands and promoting economic development in the area.
