(NLDO) – The driver drove at a snail's pace to "get revenge" on the truck driver who previously refused to let his truck pass.

On February 9, the Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong Province Police said it had verified, invited to work, made a record of handling and temporarily confiscating the driver's license of truck driver Nguyen Xuan Tien (born in 1994; residing in Nghia Trung Ward, Gia Nghia City, Dak Nong Province) for the act of "Not giving way to vehicles requesting to overtake when safety conditions are sufficient".

A day earlier, a video was posted on Facebook recording a truck with license plate number 48C-125.97 moving at a snail's pace on Ho Chi Minh Road, through Dak R'lap District, Dak Nong Province.

The lanes on both sides were empty but the truck deliberately squeezed the car behind.

According to the posted content, although the road ahead was clear, the driver of car 48C-125.97 continuously drove slowly and tried to squeeze the car behind to prevent it from passing.

Through verification by the authorities, it was determined that the incident occurred on the afternoon of February 7. The driver of the truck 48C-125.97 was named Nguyen Xuan Tien.

According to driver Tien's testimony, at around 2:00 p.m. on February 7, the car owner assigned him to drive car 48C-125.97 from Dak Nong to Ho Chi Minh City to pick up goods.

While driving, driver Tien saw a passenger bus and a 6.5-ton truck ahead. At this time, driver Tien turned on his turn signal to pass on the left, but when he passed, the 6.5-ton truck accelerated, and Tien's car could not pass.

A moment later, the bus in front gave way so driver Tien was able to overtake and continue on to Ho Chi Minh City. At this time, the 6.5-ton truck continuously signaled to overtake.

However, because this truck had previously accelerated to prevent driver Tien's vehicle from passing, when reaching the section of road with a solid center line, driver Tien slowed down.

When reaching a section of road with broken center lines, driver Tien accelerated so that the truck behind could not pass.
