'Black market' tickets for the 2025 Vietnam Open final are 2-3 times more expensive than their real value

On the afternoon of September 14, the Vietnam Open 2025 Badminton Tournament held the final matches in various events. Tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh is the only remaining representative of host Vietnam, she will have the women's singles final match with Chinese tennis player Cai Yanyan.

From early morning, many fans flocked to Nguyen Du stadium to watch the match. This caused the demand for tickets to increase dramatically.

The ticket brokers resold the tickets at 400,000 - 500,000 VND/ticket. This is 2 - 2.5 times higher than the price sold by the organizers. However, because they could not buy tickets from the organizers, many fans were forced to buy tickets from the brokers at high prices.

Frustrated at having to buy tickets on the "black market", Mr. Hung (35 years old) told Tuoi Tre Online: "I really love Vietnamese badminton, so today I took the opportunity to go to the stadium early to buy tickets. The organizers said the tickets were sold out, but the ticket brokers were selling them everywhere. However, because I wanted to see Thuy Linh compete, I was forced to buy tickets from the brokers."
