Digital transformation is taking place strongly and creating development momentum in many fields. Promoting the spirit of volunteerism, intelligence and creativity of young people in propagating and promoting historical and traditional cultural values, Hai Phong Youth Union has actively implemented the youth project "Digital transformation in propagating and promoting tourist destinations, red addresses, historical and cultural relics" with positive results.

The project will be implemented from October 2022 to the end of April 2025, in conjunction with the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong's liberation.

Hai Phong Railway Station is one of the important relics of the city, put into operation since 1902, witnessing many ups and downs of the port city. This is the last passenger station on the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line.

The station also has a railway line running to Hai Phong port, transporting goods from the port to inland areas by rail. The station is also a prominent tourist attraction of the city, with hundreds of thousands of passengers passing through each year.

To promote tourism and bring the station closer to tourists, Hai Phong Youth Union and the Station Management Board have applied QR codes to their activities. The code helps provide complete and vivid information to tourists.

Visitors just need to use their phones, scan the QR code, all information from the formation process, operating hours of trains, promotions... will be updated immediately.

This is one of the outstanding results of the project "Digital transformation in propaganda and promotion of tourist attractions, red addresses, historical and cultural relics" deployed by Hai Phong Youth Union, with the desire to increase the application of scientific achievements in the conservation of relics and heritage.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Head of Hai Phong Station, shared that when scanning the QR code, passengers will know all the information about the station. This is an extremely effective tool, bringing the station closer to passengers.

Ms. Le Huong Thu, a tourist from Hanoi, said that when arriving at Hai Phong station, scanning the QR code is very convenient, helping tourists like her quickly grasp the information. When looking up information about the station, tourists have a deeper experience.

Ms. Vuong Toan Thu Thuy, Secretary of Hai Phong City Youth Union, shared that in 2024, the City Youth Union will continue to mobilize social resources to spread the youth project "Digital transformation in propaganda and promotion of tourist destinations, red addresses, historical and cultural relics".

In addition, the City Youth Union will direct relevant units to improve the quality of digital information through designing bilingual Vietnamese-English content, combined with wide-angle panoramic photos and videos so that tourists and city residents can access authentic and vivid information sources.
