At the end of the activities of the Youth Project "Cleaning the memorial house and burning incense in gratitude at Tan Dong Commune Martyrs' Cemetery", union members, youth, association members and students lined up neatly to burn incense sticks on the graves of heroic martyrs and the memorial house at Tan Dong Commune Martyrs' Cemetery. The solemn atmosphere made everyone feel calm. The silent promises sent to the souls of heroic martyrs seemed to give strength to each young person to follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers.

Continuing the series of gratitude activities, the Youth Union of Dao Thanh Ward coordinated with the Police, the Ward Veterans Association and students of the People's Police University to organize a tour of red addresses and give gifts to typical policy families in the area.

The trip not only educates about history but also serves as a bridge between the young generation and living witnesses of the resistance period. Accordingly, the delegation visited 3 families of policy beneficiaries, expressed deep gratitude and presented practical gifts, demonstrating the care and sharing from the youth to those who fought, sacrificed and devoted themselves to national independence.

In addition to the visiting activities, the delegation also spent time visiting red addresses in the area to learn about the local revolutionary tradition. Thereby, helping the members of the delegation not only gain more historical knowledge, but also understand more about the land and people of Dong Thap after the merger - a place that still retains its spirit of resilience and loyalty.

Nguyen Viet Dung, a student at the People's Police University who is participating in the "Green March" Campaign in Dong Thap province, said: "When I visited the red addresses, which marked historical events in Dao Thanh ward, I felt very proud and moved. The stories about previous generations fighting and sacrificing for national independence helped me better understand the value of peace today. That is the motivation for me to continue studying, practicing and living more responsibly towards the country."

Not only focusing on infrastructure projects, the Summer Student Volunteer Teams in Tan Phuoc 2 Commune also pay special attention to social security work, in which the highlight is the activity of visiting and giving gifts to 10 policy families living in the commune. Each meeting is a story, an opportunity to listen, share and learn. Many students said they were very moved when they first met directly with historical figures living in everyday life.

The Journey to the Source in 2025 is being implemented synchronously at the Youth Unions of many communes and wards throughout Dong Thap province. The journey takes place in the context of the province having just reorganized the 2-level local government apparatus. This requires Dong Thap province's youth to adapt, innovate their thinking and strengthen their attachment to the community more than ever.

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dao Thanh Ward, Secretary of the Youth Union of Dao Thanh Ward Nguyen Ngoc Hieu said: "The activity of visiting red addresses and giving gifts to families with meritorious services in the ward has profound meaning, showing the gratitude of the young generation to the heroic martyrs who devoted their blood and lives to the great revolutionary cause of the nation.

At the same time, through this activity, we have educated patriotism, revolutionary heroism, the tradition of solidarity, resilience and indomitability in the struggle for national independence and reunification for union members and young people.

During the emotional days of July, the journey back to the roots of Dong Thap province’s youth left many beautiful impressions. This year’s gratitude activities are also a vivid lesson for the young generation to look back at themselves and live more responsibly towards the community and the Fatherland.
