On July 22, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE) announced the threshold to ensure input quality and the principles for converting admission scores between admission methods in university and college admissions for the full-time Early Childhood Education program.
Based on the score distribution of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the specialized competency assessment exam (H-SCA) and the aptitude exam organized by the school, the school's Admissions Council determines the floor score threshold as follows:
Main office in HCMC
- For the admission method using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam: ranging from 18 to 24 points. Of which, there are 6 majors that continue to maintain the threshold of 24 points including: Mathematics Pedagogy, Chemistry Pedagogy, Literature Pedagogy, History Pedagogy, Geography Pedagogy, English Pedagogy.
- For the admission method using the results of the Specialized Competency Assessment exam combined with high school academic results: ranges from 17 to 21 points.
- For training majors that use the results of the Aptitude exam, including Preschool Education, Physical Education, National Defense and Security Education: ranging from 19 to 20 points (for admission using the combined results of the 2025 high school graduation exam) and 17 to 18 points (for admission using the combined results of the specialized competency assessment exam).
Long An Branch and Gia Lai Branch
- For the admission method using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam: ranges from 20 to 23 points.
- For the admission method using high school academic results combined with the Specialized Competency Assessment exam: ranges from 18 to 20 points.
- For training majors that use the results of the Aptitude exam for admission, including Preschool Education (University and College), Physical Education, National Defense and Security Education: ranging from 17 to 20 points (for admission using a combination of the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam) and 16 to 17 points (for admission using a combination of specialized competency assessment exams).
According to the school representative, this year's scores continue to show reasonable differentiation between each method and each training institution, thereby helping to ensure the quality of input admission while still creating conditions for a variety of candidates to have the opportunity to access higher education.
At the main campus, many majors continue to maintain high entry thresholds, reflecting the high level of competition and candidates' interest in traditional teacher training majors such as Mathematics Pedagogy, English Pedagogy, Literature Pedagogy, etc.
Meanwhile, at Long An Branch and Gia Lai Branch, the stable score shows that the strategy of expanding training scale along with ensuring input quality is being seriously implemented.
Synchronizing the score threshold between the two branches is also the basis for affirming the consistency in training programs, quality and output standards between the school's facilities.
This year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education will recruit nearly 5,200 students by the following methods: Direct admission; Priority admission, admission of specialized school students; High school graduation exam scores; Combined admission.
In which, combined admission includes: Combining specialized capacity assessment scores and high school transcripts; High school graduation exam scores and aptitude test; Specialized capacity assessment scores and aptitude test.
