Next, the delegation of Lam Dong province laid wreaths and offered incense in front of the Central Monument of Quang Tri Citadel. Here, the leaders of Lam Dong province expressed their infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed their lives during the 81-day and night campaign to protect Quang Tri town and Quang Tri Citadel.

The heroic and resilient fight to protect the Citadel and Quang Tri town during 81 historic days and nights, the fiery summer of 1972, contributed significantly to the victory at the Paris conference table, creating momentum for the general offensive and uprising of the entire nation in the Spring of 1975, completely liberating the South and reunifying the country.
During the fierce 81-day battle, thousands of liberation soldiers across the country and the people of Quang Tri fought bravely, sacrificed, and remained forever on this land. Their blood was mixed into the soil so that the country could have an independent day, and the people could have freedom and happiness.
After the flower and incense offering program at cemeteries and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, Lam Dong provincial leaders organized a fund handover with a total value of 2 billion VND to Quang Tri province to carry out the work of caring for policy families, families of war invalids and martyrs, and disadvantaged people in society.

The gratitude program of the Lam Dong provincial delegation in Quang Tri province is a meaningful activity, aiming to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).
This activity also contributes to promoting the tradition of "repaying gratitude" and the good morality of "remembering the source of water" of the Vietnamese people.
