Prime Minister assigns authority to Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee

Specifically, in Decision No. 1215, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh approved the results of the dismissal of Mr. Le Anh Duong from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Mai Son was assigned as Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province.

At the same time, the Prime Minister also signed Decision No. 1216 assigning the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province for the 2021-2026 term to Mr. Mai Son, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term until the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province for the 2021-2026 term is completed.

The above decisions take effect from October 18.

Previously, on August 28 and 29, the Central Inspection Commission held its 46th meeting. The Central Inspection Commission reviewed the inspection results when there were signs of violations and the review results, and proposed disciplinary action against the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee.

According to the Central Inspection Commission, the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations; lacked responsibility, slackened leadership, direction, and lacked inspection and supervision, allowing the Provincial People's Council Party Delegation, the Provincial People's Committee Party Executive Committee, and many organizations and individuals to violate Party regulations and State laws.

On the morning of October 8, the 19th term People's Council of Bac Giang province, term 2021-2026, held its 20th session (special session). Accordingly, the Provincial People's Council carried out personnel work according to its authority.

Specifically, the People's Council of Bac Giang province approved the dismissal of Mr. Le Anh Duong - former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, and at the same time, dismissed him from his duties as a delegate of the 19th Bac Giang Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.
