Focus on draining water and clearing water flow to respond to storm number 3

Song Chu One Member Co., Ltd. - City Branch mobilized maximum machinery and equipment to salvage water hyacinth, clear the flow, and proactively respond to storm No. 3.

In Quang Phu ward, Thong Nhat river, which is the main drainage route for the area, has been covered by a layer of water hyacinth, stretching for kilometers, causing the flow to be seriously stagnant. In recent days, the locality has coordinated with Song Chu Company Limited - City Branch to mobilize maximum machinery and equipment to salvage and clear the flow.

Not only on the Thong Nhat River, but also on many other rivers and irrigation canals, water hyacinths from upstream continuously flow in, covering the water surface, causing blockages in the flow. Due to the large volume of water hyacinths, the work is carried out continuously by the forces, both salvaging and gathering water hyacinths and pushing them to the end of the spillway before bringing them ashore and transporting them elsewhere.

According to the plan, the whole province will dredge about 470,000m3 of mud and soil in drainage canals, of which inter-commune canals will be over 100,000m3 and intra-field canals will be over 366,000m3 ; at the same time, water hyacinth, water spinach, and rafts will be collected with an area of over 1.4 million m2 and a length of nearly 784,000m.
