Speed up construction, shorten repair time of Long Thanh bridge by 3 days

(DN) - On July 20, Vietnam Expressway Corporation said that the construction unit is working 24/7 to shorten the repair progress of Long Thanh Bridge on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway (section bordering Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City).

Previously, from July 15, the construction unit began repairing the expansion joint of Long Thanh Bridge (from Km12+827 to Km13+322, bordering Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province) with an expected time until July 30. During the construction process, there was a situation of slow movement of vehicles and congestion on the above expressway and neighboring roads.

Therefore, the Vietnam Expressway Corporation has requested the construction unit to speed up and make efforts to shorten the construction time. If the weather is favorable, the construction and road surface restoration is expected to be completed on July 27, 3 days earlier than the scheduled date.

Currently, Vietnam Expressway Technical Services Joint Stock Company (the unit managing and operating the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway) is coordinating with the functional forces of the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security, Ho Chi Minh City Police and Dong Nai Provincial Police to proactively implement measures to prevent congestion. In particular, coordinating to fully deploy forces to direct and regulate traffic at locations passing through Dong Nai such as: National Highway 51 (Long Thanh Commune), Ben Cam roundabout area (Nhon Trach Commune) ...
