Together with credit officers of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) Yen The - Bac Giang II Branch, we visited the Yen The Green Agriculture Cooperative's processing facility for products from Yen The hill chicken. Mr. Giap Quy Cuong, Director of the Cooperative, said: "Thanks to additional loans from the bank, we have invested and put into operation an automatic poultry slaughter line, worth 5 billion VND, produced by the Institute of Agricultural Electromechanics and Post-Harvest Technology. This is a modern slaughter system, with a capacity of 400-500 chickens/hour. If done by semi-manual methods as before, it would take 15 workers more than 1 hour to slaughter such a number of chickens, but now only 1-2 people are needed to operate it."

Not only that, when using the new production line, the chickens do not have muscle breakdown, ensuring quality. In the final stage, the chickens are treated with salt water at a cold temperature of 0-6 degrees Celsius, which has a sterilizing effect, prevents bacteria from entering, and ensures food hygiene and safety.
From the loan capital of Agribank Yen The - Bac Giang II Branch, Yen The Green Agriculture Cooperative also invested in purchasing a nitrogen gas freezer, which helps keep chicken fresh longer when defrosting, without breaking the cell structure, and the freezing time is faster. If using the old technology, the freezing time takes about 22 hours, but using this new technology only takes about 1 hour.
In the coming time, Yen The Green Agricultural Cooperative will continue to mobilize capital from banks and members to expand the factory, equip machinery to produce processed and preserved products from fruits available in the province such as: lychee, longan, mango... |
Yen The Green Agriculture Cooperative was established in 2017, with 7 official members and more than 100 associate members who are households specializing in raising chickens in Yen The district (old). When it was first established, the Cooperative's products only provided feathered chickens and packaged chicken meat to clean product stores in the province and some neighboring localities. However, with the determination to diversify products, the Cooperative has boldly borrowed capital to invest in expanding the factory, purchasing slaughtering machinery... so up to now, the Cooperative has many chicken products such as: frozen chicken, ham, sausage, sausage, salted chicken, dried chicken, chicken floss... Mr. Giap Quy Cuong shared: "In just 4 years from 2021-2024, we have been lent about 4 billion VND by Agribank Yen The - Bac Giang II Branch to invest in production and business. The experience of using loans effectively is to apply for loans as needed, not to spread out investments. Besides, we focus on exploiting the advantage of having available local broiler chicken raw materials".
Thanks to the use of loans, the product market of Yen The Green Agriculture Cooperative has been expanded to large supermarkets in the province and some neighboring provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen; monthly revenue reaches about 3 billion VND. Currently, the Cooperative is signing contracts with 7 official workers, in addition to hiring 10-15 seasonal workers to participate in production and processing stages, with an average income of 7-10.5 million VND/person/month. In the coming time, Yen The Green Agriculture Cooperative will continue to mobilize capital from banks and members to expand the factory, equip machinery to produce processed and preserved products from fruits available in the province such as: Lychee, longan, mango... Thereby increasing income for members and workers; at the same time contributing to helping farmers in the area consume and increase product value.
