VietNamNetVietNamNet04/08/2023

On the morning of August 4, Soc Son was the area with the highest rainfall in the entire Hanoi area (56.8mm/hour). Prolonged heavy rain caused landslides at some locations in Minh Tri and Nam Son communes.

Heavy rains swept away a lot of rocks and soil, cutting off many roads. On the road near Ban Tien Lake, Phu Ninh Village, Minh Phu Commune, many cars were buried under rocks and soil.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, a resident of Phu Ninh village, said the landslide happened around 10am this morning. There was not much rain at the time when floodwaters and rocks fell on the road in Ban Tien village.
