According to data from the Provincial Civil Defense Command (as of 1 p.m. on July 22), in localities across the province, more than 74,000 hectares of winter-spring rice were flooded (65,489.4 hectares were completely flooded, 6,094.74 hectares were slightly flooded, and 2/3 of the area was flooded, which was 2,433.34 hectares).
Specifically, Nam Dinh (old) area was flooded with 50,121 ha, Ninh Binh (old) 19,115 ha and Ha Nam (old) 4,790 ha. Some aquaculture areas in areas outside the sea dyke and low-lying areas were flooded. In addition, the Nam Quan Lieu dyke collapsed at K1+850 (Nghia Son commune) and landslides occurred at Vai Gioi mountain (Nam Hoa Lu ward).
To overcome the damage after the rain and storm, the Irrigation Construction Exploitation Companies in the province have operated 345 pumps of 110 pumping stations; 116 culverts under the dike and 19 drainage culverts. Landslide incidents were handled in the first hour according to the "4 on-site" motto; warning signs were placed, barriers were built in landslide areas to warn people and vehicles participating in traffic... The work of statistics and overcoming the consequences after the rain and storm is still being carried out by localities.
