On July 19, 2025, some localities in Nghe An province mobilized officials and civil servants to handle administrative procedures for people. This was the first "Saturday for the People" activity after the two-level local government was put into operation.
At the Cua Lo Ward Public Administration Service Center on the morning of July 19, more than 200 people came to transact and complete administrative procedures on social pension benefits according to Decree No. 176, dated June 30, 2025 of the Government and receive results of handling various types of administrative procedures.
Deputy Director of Cua Lo Ward Public Administration Service Center Tran Xuan Vinh shared: This activity not only reduces the waiting pressure of people during administrative working days according to regulations, but also reduces the burden of receiving and processing documents of officials and civil servants on normal days.
In particular, most pensioners are elderly and have difficulty traveling, so organizing the event on Saturday also creates conditions for children of pensioners to take advantage of the day off to pick up and drop off their parents and grandparents more conveniently.
In addition to handling administrative procedures on social allowances; Cua Lo Ward Public Administration Service Center also organizes the return of administrative procedure settlement results to people, without having to wait for the appointment date to return the results, both creating convenience for people to soon have legal documents to carry out other civil transactions, and reducing the pressure for people to wait on administrative working days.
The above activities demonstrate the efforts of Cua Lo ward authorities in shortening the time to handle administrative procedures and serving people quickly and conveniently.
In the activity “Saturday for the people”, in addition to the responsibilities of the officials and civil servants of the public administrative service center, Cua Lo ward also mobilized dozens of officials, civil servants, union members and employees to support and guide people in writing documents, submitting documents online, receiving and transferring documents for processing according to regulations.
Along with Cua Lo ward, today, some communes and wards: Tan Chau, Van An, Tam Hop, Hung Chau, Quan Thanh, Hoang Mai ... also organized the activity "Saturday for the people".
For Hung Chau commune, the Commune Public Administration Service Center has mobilized additional support from officials and civil servants of the Commune People's Committee Office, along with the information technology support team of the Youth Union, to organize reception and help people complete all types of administrative procedures under the authority of the commune level, focusing on land procedures, business registration, tax registration, certification procedures, household registration, social protection, etc.

On the morning of July 19, at the Hung Chau Commune Public Administration Service Center, 30 people came to do administrative procedures, mainly procedures for granting and changing Land Use Right Certificates, household registration and social security.
Or in Tam Hop commune, on the morning of July 19, the locality received and resolved 122 requests from people; including 34 social assistance applications; 10 birth certificates; guidance on land procedures for 38 cases and guidance on activating level 2 identification for 40 cases.
“Saturday for the people” not only contributes to improving the effectiveness of administrative reform, but also spreads the spirit of dedicated service, close to the people, for the people of the authorities at all levels in Nghe An./.
