Improve press speaking for district and ward leaders

(CLO) On December 17 and 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center opened a spokesperson training course for nearly 50 students who are secretaries, deputy secretaries, chairmen, and vice chairmen of districts, wards, communes, and towns; directors, deputy directors of departments, branches, and specialists with the ability to speak and directly provide information to the press.


The class aims to help cadres and leaders of units in Ho Chi Minh City improve their speaking, communication, and effective communication with the press.

Journalist Pham Duc Hai, former Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, city-level reporter, presented the content of the spokesperson training course to students.

During this time, students will be presented by experts, journalists, and experienced lecturers on the following topics: Decree 09/2017 (regulations on speaking and providing information to the press); some situations to note, handling media crises; press relations; answering press interviews; practicing answering interviews; some basic regulations of the Press Law; press releases, organizing press conferences.

Through the training and fostering course, the organizers hope to convey legal regulations related to the press and spokespersons to the press; equip them with skills in communication, presentation, interviewing, dealing with the media and handling media crises... Thereby, helping trainees gain more experience and confidence in the role of spokesperson.
