Goal said Benfica are willing to loan Antony with an option to buy at the end of next season. However, MU is not satisfied with this offer as they want to sell the Brazilian striker. According to Mais Futebol , negotiations between the two sides are still ongoing. The Manchester club expects to earn around 40 million euros if they sell Antony, but this figure makes many clubs hesitate.

Before that, MU was still waiting for Real Betis, the team that showed interest in Antony but only wanted to borrow instead of buying. Betis brought in a series of new players this summer but refused to spend a lot of money to complete the Antony deal all this time.

Coach Ruben Amorim does not consider Antony part of his plans for the 2025/26 season. While the Brazilian striker is very keen to return to play at Betis. He has turned down many offers from other teams to achieve his wish.

Marca believes Betis have reason to be confident in this deal as they know Antony does not want to go to any other team. The delay at the negotiating table in recent times shows that Betis is in no hurry.

Many Spanish newspapers also believe that Manuel Pellegrini's team is willing to switch to buying Pablo Fornals or Pablo Garcia if the negotiations with MU fail. The two teams are currently engaged in a psychological war at the negotiating table. Antony's future could be decided in the final days of the summer transfer window.

Rashford shines after leaving MU Marcus Rashford contributed to Barcelona's 5-0 victory over Daegu on the evening of August 4.
