In Tan Linh commune, the tornado swept through 6 villages of the commune, blowing off the roofs of 16 households and damaging many outbuildings.
In addition, Khanh Hoa commune had 3 houses with blown-off roofs in Ngoi Tham village; Lam Thuong commune had 1 house in Nam Chan village, and Muong Lai commune had 1 house in village 11.
Many crops were knocked down by the storm.
Some houses had their roofs blown off and factory buildings damaged.
Speaking to reporters, a leader of Tan Linh commune said that according to initial statistics, the storm affected 16 houses; many trees were broken, causing traffic jams, and damaging some auxiliary structures and power lines.
Immediately after the incident, leaders of communes, members of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of communes and local forces quickly arrived to visit, encourage and help people overcome the consequences.
People focus on repairing their houses to stabilize their lives.
Tan Linh commune was merged from Minh Chuan, Tan Lap, Phan Thanh, Khai Trung, Tan Linh communes (old Luc Yen district).
