Spread the program "Go to school with your children"

On September 5, on the occasion of the opening of the new school year at Thanh Hoa Secondary School (Phung Hiep District), the Women's Union of Hau Giang province organized the program "Going to School with Children" for the 2024-2025 school year.

At the ceremony, the Women's Union of Hau Giang province awarded 20 scholarships, 500 notebooks, 100 raincoats, and 25 Mid-Autumn gifts to students in difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, the Women's Union at all levels of Hau Giang province mobilized to present 829 scholarships, more than 65,000 notebooks, 185 sets of books, 73 bicycles, 279 uniforms, 1,510 gifts, 169 health insurance cards, 366 leather bags... with a total cost of more than 1.9 billion VND.

Previously, representatives of the Women's Union of Hau Giang province also visited and presented gifts including notebooks and funds to purchase learning equipment at the beginning of the new school year with a total support amount of more than 10 million VND to 5 orphaned children in especially difficult circumstances in Long My town, 2 of whom were sponsored by the staff of the Women's Union of the province.

It is known that at the beginning of this new school year, the whole Hau Giang province has 386 orphans under the "Godmother" program who have received material and spiritual support to be ready to enter the new school year.

Ms. Le Thi My Tien, Vice President of the Women's Union of Hau Giang province, said that the program "Going to school with children" was launched by the Women's Union of the province in 2019 with the aim of mobilizing society to accompany, share love, and care for students in difficult circumstances to go to school, continuing their dream of becoming useful people for society. After nearly 5 years of operation, more than 2,500 students have been supported with a total amount of 13.5 billion VND.
