The 2025 Cherry Blossom Festival - Ky Thuong will be held by the People's Committee of Ha Long City ( Quang Ninh ) in Ky Thuong commune on March 22-23.
The festival is held to realize the project of Ha Long - the city of flowers and festivals. This is also the first time the festival is held in the mountainous commune of Ky Thuong - the most remote place in the city with nearly 100% of the population being Dao Thanh Phan.
Ky Thuong Commune possesses beautiful natural landscapes, intact ecosystems, roof-shaped mountain systems, many beautiful, pristine waterfalls hidden deep in the old forest, cool climate all year round... Along with that strength, this place also bears the mark of the unique cultural identity of the Dao ethnic group. This is the potential and advantage for developing sustainable tourism models.
Ky Thuong Cherry Blossom Area is a new and promising eco-tourism project in Ha Long, accompanied by leading Japanese companies specializing in cherry blossom planting. Currently, there are about 100 cherry blossom trees planted and growing well.
Through the organization of the Cherry Blossom Festival - Ky Thuong, Ha Long hopes to maintain and promote the good traditional cultural values of the Dao ethnic group in Ky Thuong commune, creating unique products to promote, promote and attract tourists to the city in general and Ky Thuong commune in particular.
The festival will take place over 2 days, March 22-23, including outstanding activities such as: Cherry blossom tree planting; visiting cherry blossom displays and exhibitions; visiting booths displaying and selling OCOP products and some booths displaying and selling products of typical households and businesses in the city; cultural and sports exchange activities taking place during the festival; Kimono (Japan) and ethnic costumes of Ha Long City; bamboo dancing exchange; crossbow shooting, stick pushing, stilt walking performances, traditional costume embroidery, etc.
