Nguyen Pham Quoc Khang had a solo run of nearly 30 km before being caught by his rivals. The group finished in a large group to the cheers of a large crowd. The racers gave an exciting sprint with victory belonging to Estonian racer Martin Laas (620 Chau Thoi Vinh Long ). Le Nguyet Minh (HCMC New Group) finished second and Quang Van Cuong (Military Zone 7) third.

Finishing in the top group, Russian racer Petr Rikunov (Loc Troi An Giang Group) successfully defended the overall yellow jersey title for the racer with the least racing time. The Loc Troi An Giang Group team won big when they also had the orange jersey title – the best Vietnamese racer belonging to Nguyen Tan Hoai.

The white jersey for the best young rider went to Pham Le Xuan Loc (Military Zone 7). This is the third consecutive season that the 19-year-old talent has won the white jersey for the Television Cup. The red polka dot jersey - the overall mountain king - went to Igor Frolov (HCMC New Group). The HCMC Vinama team won the team championship.
