Opening of Hanoi-Kuala Lumpur flight route

Vietjet Air has just officially opened a new route connecting Hanoi and Kuala Lumpur with a frequency of 7 round trips per week.

Within the framework of his official visit to Malaysia, on the morning of November 23, right after visiting the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia and meeting the Vietnamese community in Malaysia, General Secretary To Lam attended the inauguration of Vietjet's new route connecting Hanoi and Kuala Lumpur to promote economic , cultural and tourism relations between Vietnam and Malaysia, as well as the whole of Southeast Asia. The opening of the new route takes place in the context of Vietnam and Malaysia upgrading their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, opening up new opportunities for cooperation and development. Connecting the two capitals, the Hanoi-Kuala Lumpur route will strengthen the regional aviation network and create more value for economic and cultural cooperation. With 7 round trips per week, the new Hanoi-Kuala Lumpur route will serve passengers from November 28, 2024. This is Vietjet's second route connecting Vietnam and Malaysia, after the Ho Chi Minh City-Kuala Lumpur route launched in 2016. With this new route, Vietjet will double the number of flights between Vietnam and Malaysia, to 14 round trips per week, meeting the growing travel demand between the two countries.

The capitals of Malaysia and Vietnam are two destinations rich in cultural and historical identity. From here, visitors can easily explore ecological areas and pristine tropical forests. Meanwhile, Hanoi is attractive for its historical relics such as the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, Hoan Kiem Lake and unique street food, connecting to other attractive destinations in Vietnam, bringing unforgettable experiences. The leaders of the two countries highly appreciated the role of the new route, and expressed their belief that the Hanoi-Kuala Lumpur route will contribute to promoting bilateral cooperation, deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Malaysia, as well as contributing to the common development of ASEAN.
