During Coldplay's concert in Boston (USA) on July 16, a large screen recorded the scene where CEO Andy Byron had an affair by hugging Kristin Cabot - Astronomer's senior human resources director.
Accordingly, when the camera panned to them, Byron ducked down while Cabot turned away, trying to cover his face. What's special is that both Byron and Cabot are married and have families. When the incident happened, Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin joked: "Either they're having an affair, or they're just too shy."

After the image was released, Byron spoke out, but most of them received a strong backlash. In his first letter, he criticized Coldplay and the artist team for using his image without permission. Later, an employee also posted a status on the X platform saying that he was fired just because... he booked tickets for the couple to the concert, but social media users quickly realized that this information was fake.
Astronomer recently announced that Byron would be stepping down and that it was looking for a replacement. The company said in a statement: "Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding, where leaders are expected to lead by example in terms of behavior and accountability. However, recently, this standard has been violated."
The announcement revealed that Andy Byron had submitted his resignation, which the board had accepted. They also added that they were beginning a search for a new CEO, with co-founder and chief product officer Pete DeJoy serving as interim CEO.
The data operations company, founded in 2018, also said that “the perception of our company may have changed overnight,” but its mission will continue to focus on solving problems with data and artificial intelligence.
Earlier, in a statement released on July 18, Astronomer said the company's board of directors had conducted a "formal investigation" into the incident and decided on Byron's future at the company.
Byron’s LinkedIn account is no longer public and he was removed from the company’s leadership page following the announcement. However, the former CEO is still listed on the website as a board member.
In addition, after the information spread, Byron's wife removed her husband's last name from her personal information on social networks. When asked to respond, the people involved did not respond further.
