Students ask questions to experts

On October 16, International University (a member university of VNU-HCM) organized a public lecture "Advanced rocket systems and Artificial Intelligence" with presentations by Professor Bruce Vu and Master Dao Trung Thanh.

The main content of the talk focused on presenting the limitations and advances of current rocket technology; new technologies being researched as well as prospects for future space exploration ; Al and its applications, positive and negative impacts on all aspects and applications of Al in rocket propulsion systems.

Dr. Phan Hien Vu, Deputy Head of the Physics Department of International University, said that the school organized the talk to bring knowledge to the community, especially students.

In particular, with this topic related to artificial intelligence and missile systems, the school hopes to contribute to strongly promoting the creativity of young people, helping them develop careers suitable to the world context.

At the program, many students asked questions to experts related to rocket systems and artificial intelligence.

In which, I Nguyen Loan, a student at Thu Duc High School, asked if it is possible to apply AI to psychological counseling and mental health care for people?

Another student asked whether AI will gradually replace, take over and destroy humans? Another student wondered why nuclear missiles have not been used to achieve higher speeds than current technology?...

Professor Bruce Vu is an aerospace expert, who worked at NASA (Marshall and Kennedy Space Center) from 1989 - 2021.

Professionally, he researches and develops flow calculation algorithms, applied in many fields such as turbines and rockets.

He taught at the Florida Institute of Technology, the University of Central Florida, the Naval Postgraduate School, and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (USA).

MSc. Dao Trung Thanh is an information technology expert. He has over 29 years of experience in the information technology field, having held many important positions at large companies such as Netsoft, MVV Group, Vinschool. He is currently Deputy Director of the Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Institute ABAII. His expertise is in blockchain, AI, and network security.
