U23 Thailand and U23 Vietnam both won big in last night's match and are likely to top Group B and C. The two teams will meet in case the second team in Group A does not qualify for the next round.

In case the second team in Group A advances, U23 Thailand will likely meet the first team in Group A (Indonesia), while U23 Vietnam will face the second team in Group A (possibly the Philippines).
Speaking about the semi-final opponents, coach Thawatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul of Thailand U23 shared: “I always tell the players that I aim to make the team champions. And to do that, we have to prepare very carefully, we have to be ready to face any opponent.
We can face U23 Vietnam, U23 Philippines or U23 Indonesia. But for any opponent, we still have to try hard and prepare carefully. We have to consider each step to achieve that goal."

Coach Thawatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul believes that Thailand U23 can overcome all obstacles to win the tournament: “The first match of the tournament is always difficult, but we are satisfied because we have taken 3 points.
I think every opponent in this tournament is strong. Today's match against Timor Leste was not easy. But we succeeded. We are always prepared to face every opponent. We came here with the sole goal of winning the championship."
In the next match, U23 Thailand will face U23 Myanmar at 8:00 p.m. on July 22.
