The race to the semi-finals in the second stage also has other teams "participating" such as Da Nang (6 points), Ninh Binh (6 points). Sanest Khanh Hoa and Bien Phong with equal strength are still strong candidates for the championship title. In this second stage, Sanest Khanh Hoa team only used one foreign player, Evandro Dias Souza (Brazil). Bien Phong continued to favor "Thai goods" when recruiting Jakkrit Thanomoi. The Cong showed high ambition when being the only team with 2 foreign players, Kiitihad Nuwaddee (Thailand) and Sergey Kostrov (Russia).

The relegation race is also extremely fierce between Vinh Long (1 point), Ha Tinh (4 points), Long An (5 points), and Hanoi (5 points). Hanoi is the only team that does not hire foreign players due to lack of funds. Therefore, it is predicted that they will face difficulties in the competition in the "reverse final", because this year, 2 teams will be relegated. If the Hanoi men's team is relegated, this will be a very sad year for volleyball in the capital because the women's team has also been relegated. The other teams have prepared their forces quite carefully, focusing on "buying" foreign players with good skills to carry the team. Vinh Long team has foreign player from Kazakhstan Alexandr Fomenko, Ha Tinh team has Cuban hitter Jorge Gonzlez Garcia, Long An team has foreign player from Cambodia Kuon Mom.
Mr. Le Tri Truong said that like the women's tournament, the 2024 national men's volleyball championship is a stepping stone for the 2025 season with the expectation of an increasingly professional tournament. Accordingly, the 2025 national championship will have only 8 teams instead of 9 as at present. From there, the competition will also be fierce, requiring clubs to have better investment. This is also the basis for the expectation of bringing Vietnam's top volleyball to develop more and more, thereby having more talents for the national team to perform tasks in international tournaments.
