Kieu Duy Quan knocked out his Korean opponent in just 1 minute.
The highlight match of the event was the match between Kieu Duy Quan and Han Jun in the 75kg weight class. Duy Quan is currently the leading talent of Vietnamese martial arts, possessing a 4-match winning streak in the professional kickboxing arena.
Meanwhile, Han Jun is a veteran Korean boxer with an impressive streak of 12 wins in just 17 fights.
As the match was about to begin, Han Jun stuck out his tongue in provocation at Duy Quan. After the referee's opening signal, the Korean boxer launched two heavy sweeping punches, but Duy Quan stood firm.
Immediately after that, the Vietnamese representative launched a "storm" of extremely fast and powerful blows, leaving Han Jun only able to defend.
After being hit by a heavy left hook to the ribs from Duy Quan, Han Jun lay on the floor with a face full of pain. The Korean boxer had to be treated by doctors and could not continue the match.
A quick knockout victory for Duy Quan when the first round had only lasted 1 minute. This result helped Duy Quan increase his professional record to an impressive 5-match winning streak.
Nguyen Thi Chieu outpoint
In the only women's match in the 51kg category, SEA Games silver medalist and national champion Nguyen Thi Chieu won on points against Jung A Young (Korea).
This was the match where Jung A Young was the more proactive player, creating a pressing situation, but Nguyen Thi Chieu was calm to have very good counterattacks to score points.
The remaining representative of Vietnam, Bui Duy Chi Thanh (70kg weight class), lost to Yue Shuai. The Chinese boxer, with his height advantage and better striking range, dominated Chi Thanh in all three rounds.
Besides the exciting matches of Vietnamese boxers, the Kickboxing & Muay Thai event - Hotram Clash made a strong impression with the heroic matches ending with eye-catching knock-outs.
Kickboxing & Muay Thai - Hotram Clash is organized by professional martial arts training and event organizer Cocky Buffalo in collaboration with the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation and The Grand Ho Tram.
The event not only brought eye-catching competitions to the audience, but through this tournament, Vietnamese martial artists had a good opportunity to compete and rub shoulders with foreign opponents, thereby accumulating experience and improving their professional skills.
