Nearly 150 athletes compete at the Hanoi Roller Sports Open 2025

On the morning of July 20, in Hanoi, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the Vietnam Skating and Roller Federation, in collaboration with Vietnam Roller Sports Development Joint Stock Company, organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 Hanoi Roller Sports Open.

The 2025 Hanoi Open Roller Sports Tournament attracts nearly 150 athletes from Roller Sports clubs in Hanoi and other provinces and cities nationwide. Athletes will compete in 32 professional and semi-professional events in age groups including: 5 years old, 6-7 years old, 8-9 years old, 10-11 years old, 12-13 years old, 14-15 years old and from 16 years old.

The tournament is an opportunity for athletes to have fun, participate in extracurricular activities, and exercise after a year of studying and training. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for athletes to exchange, learn, and improve their skills and competitive spirit.

Through the tournament, the Organizing Committee will have the opportunity to search for outstanding athletes to call up to the national team; train and coach to represent Vietnam to compete in international Roller Sports competitions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Pham Xuan Tai affirmed that the tournament will be an opportunity to connect clubs, creating conditions for athletes from all regions across the country to exchange, learn and compete. Thereby, spreading positive messages, the power of sports activities for the development of the sport, creating a healthy lifestyle, improving the physical and mental health of Vietnamese youth. At the same time, athletes have an environment to rub shoulders, compete to strengthen social relationships and build a strong community, a fresh and beautiful society.

“Over the years, Hanoi has made continuous efforts to promote the development of Roller Sports, while enhancing and improving the level of athletes participating in national and international tournaments. With the number of athletes and competition content increasing this season, the tournament promises to bring intense competition and the best professional level,” Mr. Pham Xuan Tai emphasized.
