List of 90 vehicles fined in Thai Binh

According to information from the Traffic Police Department, Thai Binh Provincial Police, from August 28, 2024 to September 3, 2024, the traffic surveillance camera system detected 7 vehicles not obeying traffic light signals.

During the patrol, the Traffic Police recorded 83 vehicles violating the speed limit. This is a behavior that has the potential to cause many traffic accidents and needs to be strictly handled to ensure traffic safety in the area.

Penalty for running a red light

According to Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, amended by Decree 123/2021/ND-CP, drivers who run red lights will be administratively fined from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000. In addition to the fine, violators will also have their driving licenses revoked for 1 to 3 months. In case of causing an accident due to failure to comply with traffic lights, the duration of the driving license revocation can be extended from 2 to 4 months.

Exceeding the speed limit by 5 km/h to under 10 km/h: Fine from 800,000 to 1,000,000 VND.

Exceeding the speed limit by 10 km/h to 20 km/h: Fine from 4,000,000 to 6,000,000 VND, with driver's license revocation from 1 to 3 months.

Exceeding the speed limit by 20 km/h to 35 km/h: Fine from 6,000,000 to 8,000,000 VND, with driver's license suspension from 2 to 4 months.

Speeding over the prescribed speed limit by more than 35 km/h: Fine from 10,000,000 to 12,000,000 VND, along with driver's license revocation from 2 to 4 months.

Thai Binh Provincial Police advise people to strictly comply with traffic safety regulations to avoid being fined, while ensuring safety for themselves and other road users. When paying the fine, violators need to prepare all necessary documents such as vehicle registration, technical safety and environmental protection inspection certificate, driver's license, and citizen identification card (with photocopies of each document).
