Nigerian Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani respectfully thanked President Vo Van Thuong for his positive assessment of the Ambassador's tenure in Vietnam; and expressed his gratitude for the support and coordination of relevant Vietnamese agencies for the Embassy's activities over the past time.
Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani thanked the President for sharing important cooperation orientations between the two countries. Accordingly, Nigeria and Vietnam are two countries with many similarities in economy and trade, and have favorable conditions to promote cooperation in the agricultural sector. The two countries also maintain cooperation on multilateral issues at the United Nations. Ambassador Hassan Adamu Mamani believes that Nigeria will continue to accompany Vietnam to further promote effective cooperation between the two countries.

President Vo Van Thuong highly appreciated the cooperation results between Nigeria and Vietnam in recent times, especially cooperation activities in the field of socio-economic development. The President was pleased and highly appreciated Nigeria's development achievements, especially in socio-economic aspects; congratulated Nigeria on its successful election; and believed that with this result, the Nigerian people will increasingly achieve better and more comprehensive development achievements.
The President affirmed that Vietnam consistently implements an independent and self-reliant foreign policy for peace , friendship, cooperation and development, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations; is a friend, a reliable partner and an active and responsible member of the international community. Vietnam wishes to further develop relations with Nigeria in all fields. The two sides need to increase contacts and exchanges of delegations at all levels; further promote cooperation between ministries, sectors and localities and maintain exchanges and cooperation on regional and world issues.
The President believes that the Ambassador's time working in Vietnam will leave a good impression on him; he hopes that no matter what position he holds, the Ambassador will always remember the country and people of Vietnam and promote cooperation between the two countries.
