Spreading the value of Vietnamese goods from the supermarket system

According to data from the Department of Industry and Trade, there are currently 15 supermarkets in the province, of which Bac Quang Tri has 8 supermarkets and Nam Quang Tri has 7 supermarkets. Responding to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", supermarkets have been promoting the role of a bridge between manufacturers and consumers, bringing customers a source of quality, diverse goods, stable prices, and at the same time becoming an effective promotional channel for local products and regional specialties.

After nearly 10 years of operation, Co.opmart Quang Binh supermarket has become a familiar address specializing in providing high-quality, diverse and abundant Vietnamese goods for people in Dong Hoi ward and neighboring areas. Currently, more than 12,000 items are supplied at the supermarket, of which Vietnamese goods account for 95%. All products are strictly quality controlled right from the beginning, ensuring standards and regulations. Price stabilization policies are regularly applied, product designs are increasingly beautiful, meeting modern consumer tastes.

"We always identify bringing Vietnamese goods closer to consumers as our core goal. Not only stopping at distribution, Co.opmart Quang Binh also gives priority space to OCOP products in the province, local specialties, helping farmers have the opportunity to promote and consume products right in their hometown", said Mr. Dang Tu Minh San, Director of the supermarket.

Not only distributing goods, Co.opmart Quang Binh also pays special attention to supporting businesses, cooperatives, and production establishments in the province. Typical agricultural products and OCOP products are prioritized for display in convenient locations, making it easy for consumers to choose. After the merger of Quang Binh and Quang Tri, the Co.opmart Quang Binh and Co.opmart Dong Ha systems have closely coordinated, creating conditions for the circulation, introduction and promotion of local products between the two points of sale. Thanks to that, many specialty products have found a solid position in the market, such as: Linh Hue dried sweet potatoes, vegetarian fish sauce and tea of Tuan Linh clean mushroom production and agricultural business cooperative (abbreviated as Tuan Linh cooperative), An Xuan Solanum procumbens, Hung Dung turmeric starch, ginger powder, Tran Lan perilla powder, etc.

Not only Co.opmart, Thai Hau supermarket, belonging to Thong Nhat Cooperative (Ba Don ward) also makes an impression on consumers with its closeness and connection with local products. Here, 90% of the goods on the shelves are Vietnamese goods, including many products of the province, such as: Peanut oil, sesame cake, turmeric starch... In particular, the supermarket has built a close relationship with many cooperatives and production establishments in the province, contributing to creating a stable output for agricultural products. Typically, Truong Thuy peanut oil, Quang Thuy wooden chopsticks, Quang Phuong rattan skewers, Tan An sesame cake, Hai Ninh dried sweet potatoes...

Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Thong Nhat Cooperative Ho Van Son said: "We always identify Vietnamese goods as the number one priority. Putting local products on the shelves is not only for business purposes, but also a responsibility in promoting and preserving the traditional values of the province, contributing to connecting supply and demand, bringing quality goods to consumers." Thanks to these efforts, Thai Hau supermarket has become a trusted address, contributing to enhancing consumer confidence in Vietnamese goods.

Efforts of production facilities

Along with supermarkets, many production establishments in the province have made constant efforts to ensure quality, meeting strict standards to bring products into the modern distribution system. A typical example is Tuan Linh Cooperative (Dong Trach commune). With perseverance and methodical direction, the Cooperative has gradually affirmed its position. First of all, the Cooperative focused on consumption at supermarkets in the province such as Co.opmart Quang Binh, Co.opmart Dong Ha, creating a stable market foundation, gradually building trust in local consumers. From this initial success, the Cooperative's products have expanded to many large retail systems across the country, such as: Big C, SaiGon Co.op, Co.opmart Ha Tinh, Co.opmart Hue, Co.opmart Saigon, Co.opfood Saigon system, Emart supermarket, Kingfood, Bach Hoa Xanh chain and many agricultural product stores in and outside the province.

Director of Tuan Linh Cooperative Ngo Thi Kim Lien shared: "To bring products to supermarkets, we must first ensure product quality, packaging, eye-catching designs, clear information and complete legal documents. In addition, the sales team needs to understand marketing, have negotiation skills and maintain good relationships with distributors. It is a continuous process of effort for the cooperative's products to stand firmly on shelves. Although it takes a lot of effort, when we see our products being well received by consumers, we are more motivated to expand our scale and improve our techniques." The presence of Tuan Linh Cooperative products enriches the supply for supermarkets, affirming the increasingly important role of local production facilities in building Vietnamese brands.

It can be seen that supermarkets in the province have been playing an important role as a "bridge" in the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". Not only providing a source of quality and diverse goods, supermarkets also contribute to promoting local products, supporting businesses and cooperatives to expand their markets. This contributes to boosting the local economy, while building strong consumer confidence in domestic products.
