Accordingly, implementing Official Dispatch No. 112/CD-TTg dated July 19, 2025 of the Prime Minister on focusing on responding to storm No. 3 in 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests Directors of Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departments of Culture - Sports and Tourism in the above localities to proactively monitor the situation and developments of the storm.
Closely coordinate with functional agencies and local authorities in the area to review and inspect all tourist accommodation establishments, tourist areas and spots, especially coastal areas, islands, and areas at risk of landslides and flash floods.
Departments need to coordinate in organizing propaganda and evacuating tourists to safe places; counting, informing, and instructing boats and means of tourism activities at sea to know not to enter or exit dangerous areas or to return to safe shelters.
Develop specific storm and flood response plans, implement evacuation and shelter measures, and ensure safety for tourists, especially international tourists.
Strengthen inspection, review, and implementation of plans to ensure safety for people and property at cultural and sports institutions, historical and cultural relics, scenic spots, and tourist areas and spots in the area.
Based on the actual situation and the potential impact of storms and floods, proactively decide or advise competent authorities to temporarily suspend recreational, entertainment and tourism activities in the locality.
Heads of units under the Ministry in the above localities closely monitor forecast information and developments of storms, rains and floods to deploy response plans, ensure safety for people and property managed by the unit, and activities organized by the unit; recommend civil servants, public employees and workers to limit going out during storms and heavy rains and floods.
The Construction Investment Project Management Board directs contractors to implement measures to ensure safety for construction works, and prepare available forces, means, and materials to respond to and overcome consequences caused by storms and floods (if any).
Directors of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departments of Culture - Sports and Tourism, Heads of units under the Ministry in the above localities must seriously organize on-duty shifts, promptly inform and report to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the situation of storm response and damage occurring in the management areas of the industry during and after storm No. 3 Wipha (if any).
