The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just responded to the petition of voters of An Giang province sent before the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Abundant cinema, meeting audience needs

Along with films ordered by the State for production, the Cinema Law and sub-law documents all have regulations to mobilize and create conditions for organizations, businesses and units to participate in film production using socialized funding sources.

Content, theme, and topic are decided by investors and production units. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is responsible for classifying films to grant licenses according to the provisions of law.

Most of the films produced in Vietnam are granted film classification licenses. The production process shows that feature films shown in theaters are rich in subject matter, meeting the needs of the audience.

The rich subject groups, with elements of adventure, investigation, fantasy, suspense, fantasy, comedy, and reflections of social life are conveyed in many attractive forms, modern technology, attracting a large audience with issues of interest.

The Ministry assessed that it is a positive contribution to social life, an effective impact of Vietnamese cinema, and a common contribution to the cause of building a film industry rich in national identity, modernity and humanity.

For films broadcast on television, the Cinema Law stipulates that the authority and responsibility for content censorship belongs to the head of the television station and radio-television station.
