Ministry of Education and Training visits victims of the boat capsize in Quang Ninh

The Ministry of Education and Training received information: on the afternoon of July 19, in Quang Ninh, due to the influence of a storm, a tourist boat capsized, causing many casualties.

According to initial reports, at the time of the incident, there were about 50 tourists and crew members on board, including a number of students and children.

In the face of these very serious and regrettable losses, the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training send their deepest condolences, regards and encouragement to the families of the casualties, especially the students and children.

The Ministry of Education and Training requested the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh (the locality where the accident occurred) and the Departments of Education and Training of localities where the victims were located to closely coordinate with the authorities to promptly deploy rescue measures; at the same time, organize visits, support and encouragement to the families of the injured and the dead.

The Ministry of Education and Training also requested the Departments of Education and Training and educational institutions nationwide to strengthen the work of ensuring safety, preventing natural disasters, storms and floods, and search and rescue; promote coordination between schools, families and society in propaganda, education , raising awareness and skills to prevent risks, especially escape skills during the rainy and stormy season - in the context of natural disasters becoming increasingly unusual and unpredictable due to the impact of climate change.
