"I was extremely surprised when the photo series received so much attention and was shared. When sharing, many people did not clearly state that the photos had been photoshopped, leading to some mixed reactions and misunderstandings. I made the photo series just hoping to spread positive things and patriotism towards September 2nd," Mr. Tam shared. To avoid negative influences, he has now locked this photo series on his personal page. Mr. Tam said that he himself had painted a red flag with a yellow star on his house to respond to this trend. According to the story, Mr. Tam is in the wedding dress business, taking photos and filming wedding clips in Thanh Hoa. Mr. Nguyen Trong Thai (28 years old), residing in Ngoc Lac District (Thanh Hoa), made a clip following the trend of "turning every roof into a national flag". Accordingly, the clip of Mr. Thai painting his roof into a red flag with a yellow star received more than 1 million views and a lot of hearts from netizens.

According to him, this is a very meaningful trend, showing patriotism and national spirit, so when receiving attention from everyone, he feels happy to contribute to spreading that patriotism. Today, Mr. Thai plans to paint the national flag on two more houses of his family in the countryside, continuing to respond to this trend. Talking about Mr. Tam's photos shared on social networks, Mr. Thai said that he personally feels the photo series is wonderful. "Even though there is photoshop intervention, that is not as important as his heart and feelings when making the photo series, the author also made it clear from the beginning, so I think there is nothing negative here," Mr. Thai expressed his opinion. Ms. Le Thi Thuy, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Yen Dinh District, said that through verification, the photo of a series of roofs painted with the national flag is a photoshopped image, not a real image. The residential area in the photo does not have any houses with roofs printed with the national flag. According to Ms. Thuy, the image or hanging of the national flag must be in solemn and dignified places and must have clear regulations and instructions, and cannot be painted or hung anywhere. "Painting the national flag on the roof is a trend, but the trend of attaching the image of the national flag like that is not correct in terms of propaganda. The national flag must be hung in solemn places, not anywhere you can arbitrarily paint or hang it," Ms. Thuy said.
