Vietnam Summer Camp 2025 with the theme "Together we continue to write the story of peace" is a message to the young generation of Vietnam, especially the young generation of Vietnamese people abroad, with the hope that they will accompany the country.
On the evening of July 16, the Vietnam Summer Camp 2025 officially opened in Dak Lak . This is an annual event organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry) in coordination with ministries, branches and localities to create opportunities for the young generation of overseas Vietnamese to learn about their roots and connect with their homeland.

Overseas Vietnamese delegates become a bridge connecting Vietnam with the world
Attending the opening ceremony, on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs side, there were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang; Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Trung Kien; Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese - Head of the Vietnam Summer Camp 2025 delegation, Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Mai.
On the provincial side, there was Mr. Truong Cong Thai, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives of relevant ministries, departments and branches. Notably, the opening ceremony was attended by 110 outstanding young people returning from 31 countries and territories around the world.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized: Vietnam Summer Camp 2025 with the theme "Together we continue to write peace" is a message to the young generation of Vietnam, especially the young generation of Vietnamese people abroad, with the hope that they will accompany the country, strengthen solidarity and together bring the country to rise strongly in the era of integration and innovation.
“I hope that after this journey, you will bring with you precious memories, beautiful friendships and above all, a deep love for your homeland Vietnam so that wherever you are, you will always be proud to be “Children of Lac, Grandchildren of Hong”, always ready to contribute to building a world of peace, solidarity and humanity”, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang expressed.

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony for the delegates, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai expressed his honor that Dak Lak was chosen as the starting locality for the Vietnam Summer Camp 2025 journey.
He also expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s noble gesture of presenting practical gifts to disadvantaged households in Tuor B village, Ea Na commune. This is not only material assistance but also a warm spiritual gift, expressing compassion and sincere feelings, contributing to spreading the spirit of mutual love.
Mr. Truong Cong Thai emphasized that with their youth, knowledge and aspirations, the young people and overseas Vietnamese delegates will become a bridge connecting Vietnam with the world, becoming messengers spreading the message of peace, cooperation and development, bringing with them beautiful memories and deep love for their homeland after the summer camp.
Overseas Vietnamese youth always look towards the country
Speaking on behalf of 110 young overseas Vietnamese, Nguyen Duc Minh (20 years old, an overseas Vietnamese from the Russian Federation) shared his feelings when participating in the Vietnam Summer Camp: “For me, this summer camp is not a vacation but rather a journey of connection. I learned many things, not only from the places I visited, but also from the people sitting here – young Vietnamese people all over the world.”
Duc Minh expressed his gratitude and pride in participating in the program, and affirmed that, although living abroad, overseas Vietnamese youth always look towards their country and want to learn more about the history of their homeland.
Vietnam Summer Camp 2025 takes place from July 13 to 26 in many localities across the North, Central and South with many diverse activities such as paying tribute to ancestors and heroic martyrs; meeting overseas Vietnamese youth with each other and with domestic youth; learning about the history, culture and traditional customs of the nation; visiting scenic spots, tangible and intangible culture of Vietnam.
This is the first year that the Vietnam Summer Camp opens in Buon Ma Thuot - the land that opened the victory of the Central Highlands Campaign, creating an important historical turning point for the Great Spring Victory of 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country. The delegates were able to visit the Central Highlands with many unique cultural features of the ethnic groups; and at the same time witness the strong growth of this land.
The theme and activities of this year's Summer Camp aim to commemorate and honor the country's important milestones: the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, the reunification of the country and towards the 80th anniversary of National Day.
